What I want to know is why somebody coming here on vacation is asking about fried chicken of all things - we're hardly known for it!!

What does that have to do with anything?

Decent fried chicken is next to impossible to find in SoCal. Probably because it's "too unhealthy".

I'll be near Lemont next weekend, and I'll be saving one evening for making a return visit to Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket.

Thank you for satisfying my curiosity! I was partial to Harold's Chicken Shack in Hyde Park many moons ago when I was in college and the year after that I stayed in Hyde Park. Gotta get it with hot sauce.

This is a picture I took of a plaque that's inside Heinie's:

4 wings with mild sauce for me... And a Pepsi. I've never had the pizza puffs, lol.

The pizza puffs are decent, I'll just sit in the Harold's watching basketball or chatting it up, Harold's really is a Chicago Icon

Good Places for Fried Chicken in Chicago? What say you, CSS? I respect your opinion and I'd like to know what you think. Is it Harold's?

I'm heading out there this summer, and chicken is the last thing I want. I really miss good old Chicago pizza. The one thing you can't get here.
