Default Could you give me a description of this neighborhood?

I'm in Boston right now so I'm trying to get some info about a few apartments I'm looking at.

This on particular place is located in west Chicago on Adams and Clinton. Here is a Google Map to make things clearer: adams and clinton chicago, il - Google Maps

Other than the safety of the neighborhood, I'm looking to find out how plentiful supermarkets and restaurants are in the area. I'll be a student so having access to a number of places to eat out will be important.

Appreciate your help.

Restaurants are plentiful in the area. In fact you'd be right at the very eastern edge of the West Loop neighborhood, which is one of the premier restaurant districts in the city. You'd have to hoof it for a few blocks to get to most of them, but nothing traumatic as long as you're in decent shape. Or you could aways hop a bus if one happens along. You'd also be just a couple blocks from Greektown and the numerous Greek restaurants found therein. I don't know how plentiful supermarkets are but I do know there's a Dominick's (full-sized grocery store) a 5-minute walk away on the corner of Madison and Halsted. There's no shortage of convenience stores nearby for grabbing a quick item or two.

You're basically downtown. It kind of clears out after work hours around there, but it's getting better. Unfortunately the part of downtown that has the most nightlife is towards the lake and north of there. The "West Loop", which is really the neighborhood west OF the Loop, is close by however--and that is more of a 24/7 neighborhood.
