Okay, so I posted earlier to try to figure out where I wanted to live / move..
http://www.city-data.com/forum/chica...ouse-aprt.html

GREAT insights.. and I've found two great places... One is in Lincoln Park... the other is in Wrigleyville...

Now the deciding factor will be the nightlife... I've been staying in Lakeview the last few days & love the vibe.. Now want to know *IF* WV and LP have the same vibe? Which is better? What are the differences?

Age / demographics that visits these two areas would be much appreciated!!

Default Minutes apart...

Lincoln Pakr tends to be little more upscale and little less "drunken mess". I would choose the location that has a nice apartment / edge with commute to work. The actual difference in an extra stop or two for the nights you decide you want a little different scene is incomsequential ... I mean if you were trying to choose between LP / LV and someplace much further north / west / south that would be a whole different story.

I think this is a non issue. Honestly, if you really think that if you live in Lincoln Park you'll only go to those bars, then you're dead wrong. IMO you should be picking on more important things like groceries around there, food, public transit, etc. It's really not a big deal as Lincoln Park and Lakeview are right next to each other anyway.

That's my two cents. Yes, Wrigleyville is "drunk mess" but so are parts of Lincoln Park especially around DePaul University. In the end though, I don't think it matters. I live in the Gold Coast but I still go to Wicker Park semi often to drink.

Thanks guys!! I decided on the apartment in Lincoln Park; it was a high-rise so figured it would be easier to meet ppl. But the Wrigleyville flat was a very close tie!

Anyways, looking forward to moving to Chicago!! Cheers!

Wrigleyville's nightlife is very concentrated onto just clark street and gets a little crazier. LP is a lot bigger and has more variety and the bar scene seems more spread around.

Enjoy your new apartment. However, it's actually quite hard to meet people in a high-rise since people are doing their own things and have their own schedules.
