I know someone who lives on Huron and Larrabee. I don't know all the specfic names of the condo buildings, but I can say that over the years visitor parking is a nightmare. Because of all the restaurants, there's alot of foot traffic at night. The El is close by and that's a plus.

I've been inside Erie on the Park for a party, and it is VERY nice. Normally I hate anything by architect Lucien LaGrange, but he did something right with this one.

What do you guys not like about LaGrange's work? I heard that there is some new construction by Lagrange going up in the River North area...

All of these addresses are in a small compact area, so I do not think things such as foot traffic, crime, or transporation would be any different from one to the next.

His buildings further absolutely nothing. 95% of the stuff he builds is derivative, uninspired, post-modern shlop. His designs are Disneyland version of what real architects built 60 years ago.

For instance:

Excuse me while I gag. These types of buildings cheapen the entire skyline.

One of his few projects in the works which dosent fit this mold is X/O. Really outstanding

Unfortunately designs like Erie On the Park and X/O are few and far between. I kind of wish he'd just go away.

I like X/O. The towers have a sense of movement and interaction with each other. The idea is the two of them are supposed to be "dancing". The rendering is pretty crude too. In any case, its a hell of a lot better than the po-mo precast concrete route LaGrange tends to take.
