In northside part of downtown, they extended metered parking from 9pm to midnight, in other parts from 9pm to 10pm.

Wow that private company is raking it in. The parking meters situation is outrageous. I'm surprised Chicago didn't riot when Daley inked that deal.

yeah right? plus the cost keep going up. I think in the loop rate is as high as over $5 per hour. Its $4 in downtown north of the river already.

what a joke. i can't believe at the cost of parking on PUBLIC streets.

$4/hr to park? that's 30 minutes of work at min wage almost for someone to just park downtown.
