Once again, the Big 10 leads the country with top party schools. 4 of the top 9 are from the Big 10!

And your point is?

I went to U of I. Sure, you could party constantly there. I think a person could party constantly at pretty much any large university. I still managed to have a job lined up when I graduated and have a pretty successful career. Who cares if a person could have partied in college? How does that matter?

Yea that's true. Sometimes when I tell ppl I went to Ohio State, they're like "party school!" I suppose. But they don't hand out aerospace engineering degrees to anyone, if u don't go to class, study and have yr head on straight u won't get the degree, no matter where ur in school.

I went to #3 UIUC, but I hardly partied as I'm not into dancing and nightclubs. And I don't like losing sleep to stay at a nightclub. Plus my Mech Eng classes kept me too bust with studies. But for recreation I played video games, like Dynamix's Red Baron.

"The rankings are based on surveys in which an average of 333 students per campus are asked 80 questions about a range of subjects in the last three school years. Its methodology uses a five-point scale, allowing for school-to-school comparisons."

My point is that there has to be some reason that 4 of the top 9 party schools are in the Big 10. This happens year after year. What is the reason? Out of all the colleges in the US, this can't be a coincidence.

The reason is we have no damned coastline or mountains. I went to UIUC, the natural environment pretty much assures you'll be finding alternative sources of entertainment.

Among public universities nearby, U of I and Madison are harder to get into, but is Iowa still where the "cool kids" from Chicagoland wanna go?

I'd guess "Unofficial" is what put UIUC into the top five. It's becoming an out of control day long (now almost two days) drunk fest.

Many of my colleagues/coworkers take that day off rather than brave coming to campus.
