You can read a great deal of character in the faces of these men, veterans of Shiloh, Stones River, Vicksburg, Chickamauga, Chattanooga, Atlanta, the March to the Sea and the March through the Carolinas. These were the men who saved our nation and tore apart the Southern Slavocracy. Good men.
