There is a new one called Sea Dog on Division. Not into sushi so no advice there.

Mirai is just excellent, really great. I haven't visited in years but I used to go enough, the staff, IMO, had a bit of attitude, which I never did understand.

Coast, Bob San, and Mirai are all very good. What type of sushi are you looking for specifically - rolls, sashimi? They all have different strengths (but are all pretty solid across the board).

I have been to Bob San several times (years ago) and it was really good. There were quite a few options and the fish always tasted very fresh.

Coast is my go to sushi restaurant and its BYOB. What I like about Coast is the rolls are bite-sized, unlike other sushi places where the pieces are huge and fall apart after the first bite. Pet peeve of mine.

Try the hamachi carpaccio for an app and definitely try the white dragon roll.

For rolls I'd go with Coast, they really focus on those. For sashimi I think it's a toss up between Mirai and Bob San, with Bob San being a little less expensive. Mirai is more inventive than the others, and has more unusual offerings (in addition to excellent sashimi and rolls).

What I find funny is most of the places mentioned are not in Bucktown. Of course, there is a reason for this and that is Bucktown does not have that many sushi places.
