Hi everybody,

I recently moved to a suburb of Chicago for an internship from Germany. Over Chrismas my family will visit me and we would like to have dinner in downtown Chicago.
Which restaurants can you recommend and do you think it is still possible to get a table (3 persons)?

Of course the restaurant should serve good classical food (it doesn't have to be Smith & Wollenskys ). It would be also cool if it's in a skyscraper and has a nice view but not necessarely.

Looking forward to get some recommendations

Simon

For skyscraper with a view my favorite would be Sixteen.

I guess I'm too late. Everest is completely booked, Sixteen is too expensive for me. If somebody has another recommendation, I would be very thankful.

Maybe NoMi -- still show availability for eve & 25th: Restaurant Reservation Availability Restaurant Reservation Availability

It ain't "top of the world high" for prices or views but with Michigan Ave lit up for Christmas it is really hard to beat...

Food is less stuffy than classic "steak house" but still not over the edge of ultra modern,

See if Chicago Cut is open. It's a fantastic view through the window-wall out across the Chicago River to the skyline.
