I'm a big fan of Chinese Buffets and just wondering the best ones on the North/Northwest side. Ranging from 4.99-8.99 ( lunch specials ) Thanks

I haven't found a decent one yet and have disillusioned enough to stop looking. A solid non-buffet option is Wok Cuisine on Kedzie in Albany Park. While not a buffet, you can get a good-sized pile of grub for 9 bucks. Guey Lon on Elston near Irving Park Rd is another good non-buffet option.

I don't agree with Chet about much - but he's right on about this!

You'd do better going to Shooters Buffet on Harlem near Montrose, and finding whatever chinese food they are serving.

I like the one at Lincoln and McCormick and the one at Western and Howard. I don't know the names.

I think all buffets are junk… Real foods are cooked in smaller portions with more effort.

Better to display your sophistication and exquisite taste like a preening popinjay than simply answer the goddam question?

I can only speak for myself, but there are times when I just want to pig out -- quantity over quality -- without spending a lot of money.

To quote a rather overused saying on this board: "It is what it is."
