I already posted them. Or go to the NY Times census website and look for yourself.

MichVegas, all you have left is LP to show the stats for now to prove you were right with your 90% claim on those prime lakefront areas.
Where are you getting this? I have no idea what you're talking about.

None of these tracts have blacks and Latinos, and all are overwhelmingly white, with a handful of Asians.

There are none in the areas we're looking at. There are no Mexican areas along the lakefront.

And enough with the Asians already. They're an inconsequential part of the Chicago population (% wise) and everyone knows that Asians live in the same areas as whites. Most affluent suburbs in the U.S. have a decent number of Asians; doesn't mean typical sprawlburbia is a poster child for diversity.

The point is that 65-70% of the city is black and Hispanic, and the have almost no representation in the prime Chicago neighborhoods, unless there's a housing project.

Data is from Chicago Data Guy: Hard-to-Find Census Data on Chicago Community Areas

Can you please define what a prime Chicago neighborhood is? The only one that I can think of that would be prime would the Loops, Near North Side, West Side, and Near South side. To me prime are the neighborhoods where the economy and overally city culture thrives and acts as a center of commerce and culture of the city. Sorry LP is not nor LV a "prime" neighborhood to me.

All other neighborhoods outside the the Loop, Near North Side, West Side, and South Loop I don't consider to be prime at all.

They are a smaller percentage of Chicago city population, but they are also the fastest growing racial group in the city.

Asian population booms in Illinois and Chicago, census data show
Quote:
In Chicago, the [total] population dropped 7 percent and the Asian-American population rose 17 percent, so while we’re still about 5 percent of the community, it’s starting to be a growing community,” said Tuyet Le, executive director of the Asian American Institute.
Anybody who has been out in the city in some areas enough would see the population is growing in the city. It has a long ways to go before it's like other groups, but it's actually growing fairly fast in the city. The population is still around 150,000 in the city, which may not be a massive percentage, but that's still larger than all but 160 cities in the country.

And I showed you tracts that had 1% black and 2-4% Hispanic, and, yes, around 90% white, for the millionth time.

Are you still hung up on the "around 90" comment? To you, tracts that are 88% white and 89% white are not "around 90%" white? Ok, I guess...

You never showed me the stats of those tracts.
