I know it's Saturday or Sunday morning, but I can't even hear my own tv without turning it way up and my poor husband has to get up at 2:30 for work. So irritating. I called the cops 30 minutes ago but they never showed up.....waste of time. Anyways, just ranting a little...

If your husband has to get up for work, why are you turning the TV way up?

What exactly did you call the cops on them for? A person has a party on a Saturday night, in the city? My gosh.

I should've called the cops on someone in my building last night at about 1:30AM. They ordered Domino's!!! Of all things!? And I use the word "thing" generously. Domino's!! When they could've had like 10,000 other options.

Talk to your landlord or condo board and see if they can lay down some rules about late night noise to the neighbors in question. It may help next time around.

They're violating several noise ordinances and infringing on their neighbor's use of their home, so, yeah, calling the police was entirely appropriate.

Having a party isn't a problem, but being so loud that neighbors can't sleep during hours that are normal sleeping hours (and are legally defined as quiet hours) isn't just "a party," it's rude and assholish behavior. Not everyone is a 20-something that gets the weekends off, and part of being an adult is learning to respect boundaries.
