I don't care about business licenses and construction licenses, FYI. I'd never think to evaluate a neighborhood in those terms. I'll leave that to the yups.

So let's hear it. In what terms would you think to evaluate a neighborhood?

All you've done is point out why you think others are wrong but you haven't actually said anything. Talk about typical city-data responses.

If it isn't obvious by my posts, I have vastly different views from most people here, so I won't waste my time discussing how I evaluate a neighborhood.

I pointed out how people are wrong? Oh. Kinda like how people have "pointed out" how Redfin is wrong. Kay.

The prices of some of those homes in Humboldt Park are hilarious. Truly gut-busting chucklers.

$189,000?!

That's not even money. That isn't even half of what I paid for my first one bedroom condo, and that was a long goddamn time ago!

I'm having some sort of stroke right now. If you've lived in Chicago for any length of time, and especially if you've lived in other cities, you know why.

Really? I bought a 2 BR condo with a deck in Edgewater for less than that within the last year... not everywhere has hyper inflated prices like Streeterlincolngoldtownpark.

Skip Humboldt Park and go to Maywood, which is in the top 5 hottest areas, a lot cheaper and more exciting

This topic is about East Humboldt Park.

I don't see anything about east in the OP and some of the homes in the DNA article are west of the park. Read more.

It's cool that realtors have had success in rebranding that slice of a gang infested neighborhood.

And the faulty SFH/Condo comparison was my main point.
