So I had an interview on Monday and everything went really great. The recruiter was anxious for me to meet the employer and wanted me to get the position. She actually called me later on that afternoon around 4pm and said the employer was able to meet with me either that night or on Saturday. I told her that unfortunately I couldn't meet that night. I had prior plans. I needed to pick my sister up from the train station at 530. I did tell her however that I could meet with the employer on Saturday. She said ok and would talk to the employer and get back to me. Well its already Thursday and I still haven't heard back. I even emailed her yesterday and apologized that I couldn't meet that exact night but I could definitely meet on Saturday. But got no response. So what im asking is do you think I wont get the job now because I was unable to meet that night and perhaps they found another candidate? Thanks!

What are you looking for? None of us has anything we can tell you with any certainty. Maybe the people at the company just got busy and you'll hear back again next week. Maybe they hired someone else. Maybe the position closed. Maybe the recruiter dropped the ball. There's just no way to know.

There’s simply no telling,OP.
I would wait to hear back from the recruiter.
If you don’t, then you have your answer.

Unfortunately, most employers feel as if they are in the “driver’s seat” these days, so if you don’t jump through their “hoops” they can’t sit back and wait for someone who will.
