To keep this on topic....ummm, I like Andersonville and I like cars. But I don't think you necessarily need to own one.

As the original poster on this topic from, like, two months ago, it was really more about convenience than anything else. However, I have decide to go with Zipcar, which seems a happy medium. I'd suggest others check it out, as well.

What about night life in Andersonville? Usually when I go out I don't return home till about 3:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m. -ish. Does it get sketchy? I'm looking at some apartments in the Bryn Mawr which look very nice.

Bryn Mawr and where? Bryn Mawr near Broadway is sketchier than Bryn Mawr near Ravenswood. And neither is so sketchy that I'd be scared for my safety at 3am, though I wouldn't make a daily habit out of hanging out at the Bryn Mawer L stop at that hour.

W Bryn Mawr between N Winthrop and N Kenmore, it right in the middle of Sheridan and Broadway.

By the way, are there any other good neighborhoods that you can recommend with good commute to NEIU? I heard it's near Ravenswood, but not sure which neighborhood it's in.
