Only two days in the 90's this year, with no end in sight. I have been looking forward to going to the beach this year, but it is even cooler next to the lake. Seriously, the ****ty weather in chicago makes living here so not worth it. We are basically going to have a 6 month fall and 6 month winter.

I love hot weather, but it's still been mainly nice out albeit mild. It's still mainly been in the 70s in the least. And before we all get pissed, let's all realize that Malibu, CA near LA is on average just as mild, usually.

Good God --complaining about a summer in the 70s? Apparently some people enjoy having their clothes stick to their skin, and sweating to death. You should be appreciating your good fortune to have warm, but not oppressively hot, weather.

Could be worse (cough -- Minnesota -- cough). Today was beautiful. Roll with it.

Helps the homicide rate, too.

I love hot, hot weather, but I'm not complaining about this weather at all. It's still in the 70s and 80s. It's been unpredictable, but not in the sense where it's really bad out one minute and nice the next. Yesterday was 90, today was about 72-75 and sunny. It was still nice out

I have a Wednesday beach volleyball league, and at the end of July, we have only had 2 nights in the 70s. Every other week has been rainy and 50s/low 60s. I guess tonight, with temps in the low 60s and windy as hell by the lake, qualifies as one of the better weather nights because it didn't rain.

For the seven day forecast my weather app has 2 days in the low 90s, 4 days in the 80s, and 1 day in the upper day 70s for the seven day forecast. How is that not beach weather?

After the winter we just had, this seems idyllic to me, but I'm guessing you'd prefer that heatwave we had two summers ago.

Please don't speak of that again.

My attitude toward the OP: I live in Chicago. I work. If I wanted to spend all day at the beach, I'd live in San Diego (and even there, it rarely hits 90).
