I'm not trying to start a political debate, but does this cause concern for anyone else? Especially considering that ISIS has been threatening to stage another 9/11 style attack on a major US city? Like many others on this board, I work downtown and very near the building pictured. Does anyone else get an uneasy feeling reading/watching this?

The video wouldn't load but this is disturbing indeed.

Like any major US city Chicago is always a target. This doesn't change that in any way at all, so I'm not any more concerned than I have been for the last decade or so.

Lots of us work or go to school near there. Its very scary.

When the original 911 hit thirteen years ago, we were let out early. walking past the Hancock bldg was scary enough, not knowing if that was going to be the next bldg to hit.

But, no one knows when anything will happen, if anything. so we have to go about our day as usual, maybe at most staying out of downtown, but then stuff can happen when you least expect it. we cant just stop living our lives.

You're just now hearing about this? That message was made in June, and it was on the front page of Drudge weeks ago.

To be honest, I am just hearing about it. I didn't catch those news reports when it came out, so I guess I'm a little behind the times.

With that said, I agree with the previous poster that said that we just have to continue with our lives. It's still a bit disturbing nonetheless.

It was very well covered during the time. Apparently there were around 3-5 people caught trying to board planes with box cutter knives. They were not allowed on board. At least that is how I remember it. They think the other targets that were missed were the White House (flight 93s target), Sears Tower and Hoover Damn if I remember correctly. Not sure how they came up with those targets.
