Any consensus yet from the meteorologists on what kind of winter it'll be? I've heard some say just like last year....

I don't think the track record for such a long prediction is very good. Maybe it's been getting better with better technology and science, but I haven't noticed it.

I believe there will be some snow and some freezing temps. Other than that, I don't think meteorologists could predict their way out of a paper bag.

I read an article saying that 75% of the US is going to see a winter with "once in a lifetime snow fall totals." I have no idea how accurate that article is - though I've heard the farmer's almanac has said something similar, or something along the lines of "a lot of snow for much of the country."

The weather will suck from between Mid-November until April. Same weather Chicago has had between Nov-Apr for the last 500,000 years.

From what I've heard, it'll be worse than last year. F that.
