That's the issue. How do you know they didn't? I find it hard to believe that the league is as clean as some think. Like I wrote, lets make sure the scrutiny is applied to everyone.

They're not the first Little League team to get stripped of their tournament wins, and they probably won't be the last.

The question people didn't want to answer is "did this team cheat?" It turns out the answer was "yes" and therefore the scrutiny was warranted in this case. The complaint that every team wasn't equally scrutinized is sophomoric excuse-making unless there are equally credible accusations of cheating against all of them. When one student is accused of cheating on a test, the dean doesn't scrutinize every student in the school. When someone robs a bank, the police don't scrutinize the entire town. They focus their attention on the potential wrongdoers.

So here's the deal: they cheated, and they got caught. The color of their skin doesn't change those basic facts, and it doesn't give them a "get out of jail free" card. Taking responsibility for one's mistakes is a simple action that some don't want to do or don't care to do when it's easier to wear the cloak of victimhood and surround yourself with grievance-peddling enablers like Jackson and Pflager.

The scrutiny came from their ongoing great record which must have been enough for someone in the know to report it. This guy is now getting death threats.

Do you think if they weren't as successful and fell somewhere in the middle this would have even been brought to anyone's attention? Honestly, I don't.

It's tragic that children had to be punished for cheating done by adults, but it would have sent an even worse message to allow the adults to get away with it.

Some good points being raised here, particularly regarding the real robbery--of teams that didn't cheat.

I remember this hitting home watching Marion Jones get busted. And you think of all those people who spent years and years and years working only to have their hopes and chances irreversibly destroyed. It is a very real crime.

Of course, many of those competitors were also likely cheating... but, perhaps some weren't.

Like many other issues, it's only a problem because we lack the resolve to do anything about it.

Corruption in sports will only bel addressed when people stop turning on the tube to watch because they are so disgusted. Until then, business as usual.

This is another example of racism against whites. They had been cheating for years and no one turned them in because of fears of being accused of being racist. Then the white coach who turned them in has to change his number because he was receiving death threats! That's is racism! If a black person received death threats there would be riots and protests. He was accused of racism yet is married to a black woman!!! They basically are saying they are exempt from the rules and punishment because they are black, BS. The race card has been overused, predicatable, and worn out.
