Just walk on clark street for a few minutes and find a bar that suites your tastes. There are like 40 within .5 mile of Wrigley. Its like a shopping mall for bars.

Yeah, it's a shopping mall where 96% of the stores sell the same basic merchandise and provide the same basic experience and you have to actively seek out the other 4%. Someone looking for what the OP is looking for is well-advised to learn where those 4% are located before shopping around so he doesn't have to wander the whole mall looking for them, because the other 96% aren't providing where he's looking for.

OK well I yelped all of these ideas. Goose Island would be fine as I love brewpubs, Guthries looked ok as well, but GINGERMAN is exactly what I am looking for. Just need for June to get here and my vacation time.

L and L Tavern. Not sure about the jukebox but they have the dive part down cold-and I mean that as an absolute compliment.

No. It closed temporarily in September due to issues with the building lease. It is re-opening by opening day.

It would be more accurate to say it's re-opening temporarily. The previous closure was planned as permanent, and it will close again after baseball season is over.
