Chicagoland will never get temperatures in the upper -30s or -40s or -50s or -60s or -70s or -80s or -90s or -100s or -110s or -120s ever. Chicago will never get 200 or more inches of snow in one year

Chicago will never average temperatures in one month as cold as Fairbanks Alaska's average January temperature or colder ever. Chicago is not like that, and it never will be and it never was.

If someone wants to gets temps in the -30s or -40s or -50s or -60s or -70s or -80s and or wants to get 200+ inches of snow in one year, Chicago would be as bad of a choice for them as Phoenix would be for a someone who wanted 60+ inches of rain in one year . It's that simple

Most Chicagoland folk never felt temperatures in the -30s or -40s or -50s or -60s or -70s or -80s or -90s ,that's real cold. Real snow is snowfall averages in the triple digits (Chicago only averages 30 to 40 something inches of snow per year)

Chicago also can get into the 70s in winter and possibly 80s in the near future with global warming

For someone who loves real cold and real snow, Chicago does not satisfy (just like Corpus Christi would not satisfy someone who is looking to live somewhere as dry as Denver)
