I am planning to go to Greektown this weekend, but I need your help.
Can you tell me what bus/train I need to take from Belmont and Broadway in Lakeview to go to Greektown? Do they have store where they sell ethnic food such as greek feta, grape leaves?
thanks in advance.

Yep, what jimbo said. The Halsted bus begins southbound at Addison. Hop on it and you're there in 25 minutes.

Actually it starts southbound at Waveland and Halsted in the turnaround next to Charlie's bar and the mini mall with the Paninos and 7-11. It goes down Broadway for a few hundred feet, then Waveland for a few hundred feet, then it turns onto Halsted. But of course, that is the correct way bus to take.

Here it is:
Athens Grocery Inc
324 S Halsted St
Chicago, IL 60661
(312) 332-6737

in terms of getting there...yeah, what they said. in terms of ethnic food, i think they have only one store for that, and i use the term ethnic loosely. i think its between harrison and jackson. there are a couple bakerys and a cd store (with greek music of course). other than that there is a dominicks. there is also a blueline stop just a couple blocks south, its the uic/halsted stop.

On behalf of everyone, you are welcome. Maybe you can bring me some feta and kalamata olives. Mmm...

You don't necessarily have to go to Greektown for good feta and grape leaves. Lots of neighborhoods in Chicago have ethnic grocery stores that sell stuff like that. I'm pretty sure Harvest Time Foods over by my house has that stuff.
