Any recommendations? Was thinking Bucktown, Old Town, or really any neighborhood besides the loop. Did a Google search but did not find much

try the Chicago Architecture Foundation. In addition to the more obvious tour destinations, they go out to Beverly, Highland Park, Oak Park, Hyde Park, Lincoln Park and a number of other areas.

If you wanted to, you could get a Chicago Greeter. Tell them what you want to see and they'll send someone for you (and your party if applicable) and take you around wherever you want. You'll get a lot of info out of them and it's free:

Chicago Greeter: Meet a Greeter and make a friend today

There's also food tours that walk thru some areas like this one:
Chicago Food Planet Tours - Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour | Best Chicago Foods, Illinois IL USA

Default Pretty funny

I saw a Wicker Park "90s alternative scene" tour going on, complete with a pierced and tatted tour guide.

I remember some group used to do "High Fidelity" tours through Bucktown and Wicker Park. I would guess a lot of the places that were on the tour have been knocked down by now, such as Charlie's apartment building.

Anyway, I did an Andersonville house tour once. It was pretty nice. I think they do it in September. I think the neighborhoods I'd most want to do are Old Town and Buena Park.

This year I am planing to visit Chicago along with our family friends. I have already read a lot about Chicago and it is my great desire to see the place. Monadnock building, Chicago Board of Trade Building, Rookery Building and Chase Tower Plaza is my dream which I want to see.
