Ticketmaster's got us by the balls. Most venues don't even open up their box office except day of show, so if you want to go to anything that will sell out, you've got to pay the 10 dollar "conveinence" charge on 25 dollar tickets.

Ticketmaster is the enemy of all mankind. I only use them when absolutely necessary, as the danged charges sometimes end up costing more than the ticket itself!

DO NOT GO THROUGH TICKETMASTER.
Tuesday - Saturday, i believe, you can just go to the Metro and buy them.
if you don't know where it is yet, take the red line to Addison, walk to Clark street, hang a right, and it's up just past Waveland, right across from a hot dog place. There's a little store next door to the actual Metro where you get them. Even if you use a credit card, where they charge you 4% extra (big deal), it's going to save you at least $10.

She is correct and that is the way I always do it. BTW-The VIC is the same deal but I do not think they take credit cards-cash only.Yes, the Metro and Vic box offices save you all kinds of service charges.

But, if you are particular and want those front row seats to impress your friends, then consider one of those lovely ticket brokers like ticketsnow or vivid seats.

The Riv box office does not open until 2 hours before the show. So you have to sell your soul to Dickitmaster if there's any chance the show will sell out. Park West also only sells from the box office the day of the show (4pm til start time) and the Aragon Brawlroom doesn't even open the box office until the doors open for the show!
