You'd probably enjoy the area north of Lincoln Park too which is Lakeview. My favorite part is the part near the lake. Broadway, north of Diversey, has quite a bit of stuff. Any other places you want to know about or whatever, let us know. Where did you live before by the way?
I lived in Austin previously. I don't know why, but it seemed like attractive women just congregated to that city. It was a pretty strange place as well that felt like it didn't belong in Texas. It is not like Chicago is bad in this regard though, rather I think guys living in Austin can get a little spoiled.

I plan on exploring a lot more, especially Lakeview. I like looking at all the architecture, and I still have to check out the nightlife in Chicago. There are plenty of bars nearby which is awesome, especially since I enjoy beer and I like that whole atmosphere (especially the older bars). Not too familiar with the clubs/lounges yet, but I will check that out as well. There is so much to see and do, which is really exciting. Even walking down some of the residential neighborhoods in Lincoln Park is enjoyable.

Thanks for updating us! So many people don't and it really is interesting to hear where people ended up.

I have a friend in Austin who was saying the same thing. Chicago though - really depends. That's all I have to say. Go to various parts of the city and spend a few months.

Most of the clubs/lounges are in the downtown area though not all. Wicker Park is another great area for nightlife and Logan Square increasingly. Not to mention River North and Gold Coast downtown are great for it too, amongst other places.
