contest parking tickets?
I received four parking tickets 2 for expired olates and 2 for parking the wrong way I'm guilty. But all the tickets were written on the same day.
My question is can I contest two of the tickets because they are the same day? Does anyone know if this will work?

The administrative review folks aren't exactly the merciful type so I wouldn't say you have a very good chance. But you may have a chance nonetheless. If it were me, it'd be worth my while to contest the essentially "duplicate" tickets.

have you gotten your plates renewed? if you have i think you can get those tickets thrown out, it has to be within a certain time frame after receiving the tickets though...at least that how it was about 2 years ago...i got pulled over for speeding, but wasnt clocked, so i couldnt get a ticket for that, but i had just got a new insurance card, that was not in my car , anyways, had to go to court, i was amazed at how quickly and easily some things were thrown out...expired plates being one of them

Actually, I have found the reviewers pretty fair.
Write a short explination about the duplicated tickets and copy the ticket on the page. I'd say you have about a 50% chance. That's worth the time to try

1) A county traffic court is a different animal than the City ticket review people. They have an incentive to bargain/plead down; the ticket review people do not.
2) Traffic courts are more interested in whether or not you had insurance coverage when you were pulled over than whether you had proof of insurance. That's why it got thrown out, because you were in basic compliance with the law. That's not the case here as the OP readily admits. If you had not actually had coverage when you were pulled over (as opposed to not merely having proof of insurance), you would not have gotten off so easily.

actually, the people with no insurance at all got off very easily, in the sense if they had insurance at court, the fine was under $100. and if they got insurance after the court date (within a given period of time), they could go back to court, show proof and have the fine reduced.
sorry, thats off topic from OP issue...what my point was (and no, i did not clearly state it...my fault) is that if he contests it and the ticket review people dont accept it, he can go to court and argue his case and would most likely get the second ticket waived...assuming he had a good excuse for not moving the car within the time frame between the tickets.

Right, he could spend $95 in court costs to have $100 worth of tickets thrown out.

you dont pay anything for those court costs...these are minor tickets...you go to court, stand before a judge and give your side of the story, judge says yes or no and you move on

If you still have expired plates don't even both trying to go to court. Why would they let you go easy if you're still breaking the law?
