The Green Line is generally thought of as the most dodgy.. whether that's true or not.

It runs through Englewood and Austin and every gang war zone in between. Of course the Green line is Sketchiest. Other than the loop and Oak Park is barely goes through any nice neighborhoods.

its one of the most busy stops or close to it. this information isnt particuarly useful without adjusting for total station boardings

I lived in Oak Park by the Harlem & Lake stop for 5 years between 97 & 02 right after the Green line re-opened. I used it at all hours of the day and night, often alone & sometimes pretty drunk, and never had a single problem. I certainly wouldn't recommend getting off in the middle of the night in the west side, but the train itself is fine.

When I went to Northwestern from 00-04, we received an countless number of student alerts regarding robberies, assaults, and yes some sexual assaults too. Chalk it up to living near Howard, but that kind of crap definitely doesn't stand in the wealthier north shore suburbs.

Do people wake up one day and just decide to resurrect old threads out of nowhere?

I can understand if some sort of current event warranted a Resurrection, but just continuing 3 years later?

Well, OP signed up today, their one and only post, no significant information in their profile "about me" except that 'they live' in the 60642 neighborhood.

Maybe a current member with a need for privacy in order to resurrect or to pursue a particular agenda...or nothing at all.
