Moved to Norridge area and planning on getting a car to drive to the Harlem Blue Line station to commute to downtown Chicago. If I get there around 7:00am, will there be any parking space available?? I read online the Harlem station only has 50 spots or so. I would check myself but I don't have a car right now.

I didn't know they had any. You probably have to go to neighboring Cumberland station for parking or take the bus or bike to the L. Unless there is a local resident with a driveway or something you can rent a space on I would not count on getting parking near that station.

I am pretty sure there's a small parking lot next to the station and on CTA website they say Park and Ride is available.

Its a small lot, so will most likely fill up by 7:00. You'll either need to get there earlier, go to Cumberland, take the Harlem bus, or ride a bike there.

Given how close Norridge is to the Blue line, the Harlem or Cumberland Ave bus would probably be a decent car-free alternative to get to the el.

The problem is I have to walk 15 mins to Harlem right now. And Harlem traffic is horrible during rush hours. That's why I want to cut my commute time by purchasing a car and driving to the station without going on Harlem.

Consider a bike. A used hybrid with a rear rack and milk crate for your stuff can cut a 15 minute walk to a 5 minute ride. Getting the car would probably not be helpful given the traffic in the area and lack of parking it would be a lot of expense for little benefit.

I live off Harlem, and granted, while it can be packed--it's not packed enough to spend all that money on a car. But hey, I'm not paying your car note so to each their own.
