Don't think anyone was hurt but half the building in destroyed. Thank god it didn't spread to mine.

I got a little bit of luck. I saw the head of the cancer dept at northwestern and he don't think its cancer. Gotta get screened in 4 months and again 6 months after that. After that if all goes well I'm in the clear. But he also told me rib pain won't go away for another month

Yeah, good luck man, I must've missed the one about the health problem. You've been having a tough go of it lately, hang in there.

I had no idea there was a fire around here...crap...I suppose that's why the traffic was all backed up at the Broadway/Bryn Mawr/Ridge intersection when I was walking home from the L earlier.

That sucks. Glad you and your building are ok. Hopefully the building that burned was an ugly one or one that needs to be rehabbed anyway. Of course, I hope there were no injuries. Sucks to lose possesions however...
