CTA Rant Thread (Addison, Rosemont, Irving: daycare, commute, rain)

And they're not disclosing these slow zones on their most recent slow zone map either -- as far as they're telling us, everything is hunky-dory on the Blue Line until you get to Cumberland. Lying liars.

Wierd. It took me 18 minutes to get to Rosemont from Belmont this morning.

CTA cut blue line train service from Division to Clark/Lake all weekend. They were sending shuttle busses back and forth. It was very frustrating to say the least as I was not expecting it.

I think they are replacing signals and switches now. I believe most of the other work south of Addison was just replacing track that they have completed before this.

I used to feel like living along the Blue or Red Lines was a safe bet for a quick trip downtown. Not anymore! If they fix anything in the entire city, the Blue and Red lines should be at the TOP of the list.

i don't know man, i feel like i'm flying between Wilson and Sheridan these days... i think it used to be at 6 mph through there when i first moved here.

Well they have been working on replacing those tracks in the past year and still will not be done until spring I think.

I really hope they finish this up soon. every weekend I spend on those godforsaken shuttle buses just drives me closer and closer to quitting my job at O'Hare (which, of course, I can't afford to do)
