The trains are pretty much up to speed from Rosemont all the way to Irving Park now, with a couple of slow spots near Harlem I think. But past Irving Park or maybe Addison lately, it has become unbearably slow again. Same for the return trip home this evening.

I've had very consistent Red Line service in the evenings lately as well... It's better than I've seen it in at least five years!

I just looked at the CTA website and it appears they will finish earlier than expected with the tracks at least. They say it will be done by the end of this year.

Nope. I'll add that I only take the Red Line at night northbound, so I'm not dealing with any morning three-track stuff (I drive in with my wife in the morning to drop off the kid at daycare).
