What was that, - a Hardee's or Sonic?

Nope, I'm not a Southern transplant. I just lived in Housotn for 22 months, Bowling Green for 4 months, and visited the KY to TN last Winter.

The Sonic in Uptown has indoor seating.

Nah, Huddle House is way better than Waffle House. It was a great menu that I tasted visiting KY in Winter 2016.

Seriously?

Try Walker Brothers Original Pancake House for the best Pancakes anywhere. It's in Wilmette, but it is worth the trip.

Walker Bros. Wilmette

The stained glass windows are beautiful. The menu is great. Mmmm. Apple Pancakes! And the Dutch Baby is wonderful!

Hardee's/Carl's brings out a new product occasionally and then discontinues it. They had good chiliburgers-gone..They had fish tacos- gone. EAT LOCAL!

I went to the Hardees in Melrose Park and damn they are a lot more expensive than McDonalds and Burger King. No wonder they do not last or have many around.

Sure Sonic may be targeting Chicago but I'm willing to bet you my last dollar that is not going to stay open long because their food is not good, especially compared to Chicago-style fast food. Hell, Sonic isn't even as good as McDonald's. I really think that Chicagoans will not be impressed with Sonic once they actually taste the food. It really is not good at all.

I remember they opened up a Sonic in I believe it was Wisconsin and it was a big deal when it first opened but it did not stay open long at all.
But, that is your opinion. I'm sure lots of people love the taste of their food or they would be out of business already.

Yeah, that's sure true! I ate the budget cheeseburger $4.99 meal there, and the $3.99 big breakfast. But Hardee's is known for bigger expensive burgers anyway. Most of the time, yeah, I'd rather eat at Burger King of McDonalds.

Today I drove to Tim Horton's in Lansing, MI. First time to a Tim Horton's. -- It's like another Dunkin Donut's style restaurant.

There is a new (Last 5 years) Hardee's in Plainfield on 59 south of Renwick. Never seems busy, it's right across from a solid Gyro/fast food place called Smiley's.

I don't eat much chain fast food living in the city, but I am excited about Culver's moving in to Chicago. They are from Wisconsin, so would that make them a regional chain? The quality and service has been good at every location I've been to...Berwyn, Lyons, Joliet...
