Lincoln Park Zoo isn't a great zoo, but its location is phenomenal, and it's free. You could go for a couple of hours as part of a general tour of the Lincoln Park area.

Highly recommend a comedy show (Zanies in Old Town is better than Second City, IMHO), and if you can, hit a blues bar. You can go to Kingston Mines or a place like that and get a cool, very Chicago, experience.

For food - get out of downtown and the hotels. Go to West Loop. It's an adult Disneyland of restaurants.

Yes, I think it was the Kingston Mines Blues bar/restaurant I visited last inner in Lincoln Park. Enjoyed two sides of Blues acts we caught.
