Even was listed in Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Chicago

a fifth star has been mentioned (in the past) if the Chicago Cubs should win the World Series, which did not happen last year 2016.

You can even but one with 5-stars ***** today...

Da Flag turns 100-yrs old too

Should Chicago Add A 5th Star To Its Iconic Flag?: Chicagoist

Very doubtful for Da Cubs win of course? But WHAT EVENT TO MEMORIALIZE IN A 5th Star would you WANT TO SEE ONE FOR?

** Suggestions and Opinions on What possible events you could see a star added? ----> Name it.
OK Yes why No? Or just be stupid, or for some other event yes?
- Poll is just Yes or No for Cubs or Yes for something else possibly?
- But feel free to give opinions either way.

Why prefer the Cubs over the other sports teams who have won championships?

Pretty silly to add a star for a team that took 108 years to finally win something! If you want to add a star for a team why not the Bulls who won 6 titles or the Hawks who have won 3 so far. Even the White Sox who took less time to win or the Bears for all the titles they won in the 40s?

Maybe they should incentivize making improvements to Chicago as the bar to reach for a new star, sort of like a grade school chart. Get to below a certain crime rate, a level of income equality, a set overall rating for the school system, and an amount of debt (or surplus!) for the city, and then you get a star!

We would have gotten a new star for the Olympics or if the Lucas Museum was going to be located here.
