Taco Bell with Sarah Palin -- just don't get it at all.
|
Lets have fun with this one, since this has turned into my favorite Saturday Night Live skit "Random Thoughts" or was it "Deep Thoughts"?
Taco Bell & Sarah Palin both product of effective marketing.
Both look good on TV.
For some, you want to unwrap both.
No true substance, lot's of empty calories and fillers. You betcha
OOPS gotta run, the GOP officials are at my door demanding my membership card and threatening to make me move back into the city

No need to worry... The suburbs are all going Dem now too. Soon Hinsdale will resemble Havana.

I can't disagree with that. Sugarland reminded me somewhat of Schaumburg, but even the Sugarland Mall was tiny comparatively.

Then you're wrong. Quite the opposite really. Did you grow up on the reduced meal plan at your school? Did you lose your dad to mental illness at 20? If not then you have no idea what my life was like.
It gave me an appreciation for the things I never had as a kid, and a desire to make sure my kids grow up better. I like nice stuff. I live a bit beyond my means. So sue me.
Plus, taco bell is gross.

(Jumping in late)
Or someone who has never had any financial worries but grew up in an emotional or physically abusive home. Or some other toxic family environment. One of my friends had both parents commit suicide within a year when she was teenager. Another spent her childhood watching her mother and two aunts die one after another of breast cancer.
All the OP is reallly showing is that he doesnt have the intellectual or emotional capacity to relate to anyone whose financial circumstances were better. Pretty stunted.
And Taco Bell is disgusting. Why would that be a measure of anything.

Really, you won't have people thinking you're a yuppie. I'm sure the Lincoln Park Trixies will avoid you. If you move to Chicago, just rent an apartment in a nice working class neighborhood and you'll have everything you want. I'm dead certain from your posts that your co-workers won't try to persuade you to join EBC with them. In fact, they probably will leave you alone.
