Default What do Chicagoans do for fun in winter?

Hey, so what do Chicagoans do for fun in the winter? Every northern city has its own vibe, so what do Chicagoans tend to do for fun during the cold months? Thanks.

Browse shops. Walk in the parks. Mostly, catch an immense amount of theatre (Chicago is the only city on earth whose blue collar yokels pack high-brow theatres on a regular basis). I used to make it a priority to have coffee someplace different every morning and afternoon, and I repeated that pattern for five years and never went back to the same place. Unless I was tired or lazy Fine dining. Ballroom dancing, parties, music events, jazz, the spontaneous opera attempted at some of my favorite places. Going to the gym, taking weekends in Miami (when you live there, O'Hare is Chicago's taxi and the rest of the nation is a block away). Public debates. Political scenes.

Movie, theatre, cooking, read, class on something I can do indoors, water my plants, bundle up and go for walks in the snow, drink lots of wine, repeat.
