The statistics have been given at this point and you continue to deny that crime is decreasing. It's funny watching you make a fool of yourself though. I

No one wants to google it for you. Do it yourself.

Omg, it has been clearly demonstrated that crime has not increased. The statistics show it. A link to crime graphs was provided because you are so dense. Yet you still bring up what "people" claim.

Perceptions may be changing (incorrectly so in this case) for a variety of reasons, but Chicago is definitely safer than it has been since pre1960s based on crime statistics (source: Heyjackass). Specific neighborhoods are worse than before, but not any that have high real estate valuations..

I’m not sure why people jump onto these Chicago forums from various parts of the US to talk down on the city without any factual basis. Chicago real estate is a great purchase... the cap rates are relatively amazing versus any other major city and I love the architectural style.

My brother is in Seattle where the home construction is trash (style, build quality), and the cap rates are bad.
One of the better smack downs.

Again you are right and all of the people who live in these areas are all wrong. They all say the same things and held special meetings with their alderman's and are moving out and it is all in their heads. And people are not leaving and the population is not dropping. Yeah ok what ever kid

I am using factual statistics, you are referencing "peoples" anecdotes.

These are people who live there and have lived in these places for years who have seen the crime get worse
