Forget the one you like. It is very inaccurate and leaves out many neighborhoods. WTF is "Polish Village?!"
The official city map is the only one people should be going off of and is the most accurate.

Lathrop Homes is a CHA housing development. Ranch Triangle is the southwestern part of Lincoln Park, I believe.

I used to live in Ranch Triangle, and everyone there on our block was aware of the name. But most people also said they lived in Lincoln Park.

I knew that Lathrop Homes was CHA but I never knew it was considered a neighborhood.

That's the whole point. There's no arbiter of neighborhood names and boundaries. Neighborhoods expand (Bucktown), contract (Uptown), and move (Bowmanville), are invented (DePaul, Bronzeville, Little Village, Buena Park, Boys Town) or forgotten (Meekerville, Towertown). In some parts of the city, I've been led to believe that parish names were more commonly used. There's also the problem of sub-neighborhoods, such as Printers Row within the South Loop, or Pill Hill within South Shore. And people who live in Lake Meadows or Lathrop Homes think of that housing project as their neighborhood.
