man south side and west side of Chicago are beautiful compared to New Orleans where I'm currently temporarily located at due to the job market there. Even the few suburbs here have a ghetto twist to them. The ghetto's here are slums, and after thinking Chicago was so terrible for my whole life being born n raised there n all, the ghetto's here really make me appreciate how nice and "safe" Chicago really was. And the rednecks (ie most of the white minority in New Orleans) here are terrible also, I've never been mean mugged so much before in my life (and I've lived on the south side, as well as next to Cabrini Green, and in Humboldt Park), nevermind by my own race. It's like they smell the north off of me or somethin. Don't take Chicago's laid pack and chill ghetto's for granted. It's not New York City, but there are way worse places than Chicago.
