Default California Clipper Meetup This Saturday
Anyone interested in meeting up at the California Clipper this Saturday evening? I usually get there around 10pm but could arrive earlier if need be. There are several other bars around this area as well (California & Augusta). Sukwoo and Avengerfire are welcome to attend as well as any others who are interested.

Most responders to posts about this 'hood may be worried about the venue since it is in the big bad HP! I wish they'd take you up on the offer to meet here and maybe see more of the neighborhood today.
Wish I could but I have class all day Saturday in Evanston. Was at the clipper not too long ago...made Esquire Magazine's list of best bars in America! We did an interview there for that reason. One of only two bars in Chicago on this list.

Let' plan on meeting up at 9PM.

I can't go, but the neighborhood is fine guys. Really, I've gone to the Clipper for a few years and have never had any problems.

Default 9PM Saturday
Several have voiced an interest in meeting at 9PM at the Calfornia Clipper. We will most likely stay there a couple of hours and then either stay there or head out to another place close by. I look forward to meeting some of you in person. Thanks.

You'd have to take the Chicago Avenue bus west to California and walk north a couple of blocks. It's one of the nicer parts of Humboldt Park, but is still a bit sketchy around there and there aren't a lot of cabs. So make sure you have a ride home!
