That's excellent news. McDonald's also announced they are moving their innovation labs to their HQ from Romeoville that will add another 120 jobs.

Fulton Market's expansion has been nothing short of amazing.

The gains are needed because Chicago just lost another big one:

Tyson foods got a new CEO last year. It has had financial issues. Tysons Foods acquired Hillshire Farms whose offices were in Chicago in 2014 year of the merger.

Its headquarters and founding was in Wiki as Arkansas. I doubt it was just updated. Seems just a "returning home" to Springdale, Arkansas as the 4th largest city there with a metro of a 1/2 million. It also is moving its Dakota offices. To keep a more pricey Chicago clearly a cost-cutting move and delsyed from the merger over Covid.

The new CEO since 2021 is Donnie King. He went to the University of Arkansas. I could not find his hometown but he worked for Tyson's for more then 36yrs and it reasons Arkansas is also his homestate?

This link from 2014 on the merger of Tysons buying out Hillshire has its headquarters listed as Arkansas and Chicago. It gained Chicago in acquiring Hillshire.

A 2014 link on the merger.

No HQ loss is a good one. Back to Arkansas really is not like choosing a Dallas or Atlanta IMO. A loss nevertheless.

Mergers caused many a city to loose a HQ another gain it. Atlanta had key banks lost that way to like Charlotte. Sometimes a CEO's home state wins or where the CEO Chooses to live is a hint of where it might move divisions to.

Nice looking building. Harrison is expanding its office space with his move too as it hires more people.

Good point about Harrison also expanding, I forgot to mention it. The building designs is great, Morris Adjmi has really earned his money with this one. There's been about 11 redesigns due to restrictions and community pushback.

In other news a zoning application has been filed by Joy Jordan, a former broker for Sterling Bay that has gone out on her own and is looking to develop her first building in Fulton Market. Unfortunately there's only a drawing but the design looks interesting. Design by Eckenhoff Saunders.
