Or stop accepting these jobs out in the middle of nowhere if you want to live in Chicago. Find a job downtown.

Look in Jefferson Park. Its a few miles west of Lincoln Square, but you cut off the slowest portion of the trip. at 750 AM it says 31 minutes to Wood Dale...

Yeah because every industry is incredibly well represented downtown and finding/obtaining a job from out of state is really easy!

I would bet the farm that someone dying to live where more of the action is won’t consider Jeff Park. The would consider it too sleepy, shorter commute time aside.

Bensenville has a lot of jobs in freight logistics, aircraft servicing and heavy industry that are unlikely to be duplicated downtown.

You're quoting the OP, who I believe was being sarcastic. You're contributing to a great point though. Bensenville, Woodale and Elk Grove, Des Plaines and many other suburbs surrounding O'Hare have a pretty different job market than downtown.

OK then, there's no magic cool-ass city location that gets you close to the suburbs as well. Those near Lakefront wards will be impossible for you. Everything closer to ohare is either boring or extremely blue collar.

Move to oak Park. Straight shot up River road, you don't even need highways. And it's pretty damn cool.
