Hope the title wasnt too dramatic but needed to capture attention as I'm in major need of
HELP!!
Heres the story; we're (aka a big group a Irish19-21 yr olds uni students ready ta have the craic
)coming to Chicago for 3months Jun-Aug 2008 on student working visas. While admittedly we're there to party+see what the Chicago life is all about,we clearly need
a) A roof over our heads
b) A job to secure said roof
Looking to settle down in the humble abode of Lakeview. SO; people of Chicago, can you be of any help? Know of shops, pubs etc that take on seasonal workers? Know of friends that need to rent out a place for those 3months etc etc.
Any help you can give will be returned in the form of pots of gold
...just once we find an actual leprauchan, who has a rainbow, and a pot..yeah you get the picture.Lucky charms do ya? Pint a Guinness?A bag full of stereotypes perhaps?

Cheers! yeah we've been searching through craigslist for awhile now but it's not the most informative which is why I was thinking talking to you guys would be a better way of gettin inside info :P We'll keep on truckin with craigslist though!

This is like, what, the fifth thread I've seen about a group of Irish kids looking for a place to work/live this summer. And don't get me wrong...I'm not saying that's a bad thing (I will never complain about having to run into a bunch of young Irish girls at a bar). But is there some program you guys have that sends you to chicago without a job or place to live?
