Default Rogers ParK?

I am visiting Chicago July 3-7 for Taste of Chicago. Have been to Chitown many times but usually stay downtown. My friend has moved to Rogers Park and I know I can take the Red Line from Morse to Jackson (Grant Park).

What is Rogers Park like? Is it a relatively safe area of town? Should I watch my back or what. Any input would be appreciated!

THANKS!

There are a BILLION threads on Roger Park already. Go read them so we don't have to do this yet again.

The Morse Red Line stop can get kind of hairy at times. So yeah, watch your back, but you don't need to avoid taking the Red Line. You'll probably see more sketchy people at Taste of Chicago!

By reading the thread at the top of this forum that says "READ THIS THREAD FIRST" that's how.

THANKS...I think we will stay at the Fairmont Hotel again this year. My friend that moved to Rogers Park can come downtown to see us!

Appreciate it!

Whatever. Lots of people have put in a lot of our free time to provide information to people and to compile the information provided in the "READ THIS FIRST" thread. After a while it gets annoying when people would rather ask us the same questions over and over instead of availing themselves of the information that's already put on a plate and put right in front of them.
