Not a huge fan of Chicago, but you gotta appreciate Portillo's, Italian Beef's, and deep dish pizza. Also the White Sox.
Edit-Kolacki's (not sure if I spelled that right) have become a new food group for me. Gotta love those Polish.
Why is the word p o l a c k s bleeped out? Didn't know Polish people were offended by this term.

It's pizza sauce. The ingredient order of Chicago stuffed pizza is a little different. Crust on bottom. then cheese, then ingredients (if any), then more cheese, then sauce on top, then typically sprinkled with grated parmesan.

Funny story, I was at subway in East Los Angeles a few weeks ago and I asked for giardiniera. They didn't even know what it was let alone serve it. But they did have cilantro as a topping. Go figure.
