"Treated his arse" is a joke?
It sounds like some gay gang saying.

Sorry to hear that Drover, I couldn't even fathom it happening to my car once, let alone 9 times.

Most of the previous incidents have happened away from my apartment or were part of a "group" vandalism (that is, same happened to multiple cars on my block). But now I've had just enough incidents happen to my car only, in front of my place, that I'm starting to wonder. Still, I can't imagine what I did to get someone this irked at me. I keep a low profile around here, and the few neighbors I do have regular contact with I get along with just fine.
Ah well, this time it's nothing a bit of hairspray and 10 minutes worth of elbow grease can't fix. As car vandalism incidents go, I've actually been pretty lucky. The last few incidents haven't really cost me much money.

Damn bro, that sucks.
If I knew where you lived, I'd help you out with the fixings.

It's so weird how hit or miss everything is.
From a person saying his car was vandalized 9 times, to another saying they were mugged numerous times.
I've actually never been the victim of a crime in my 9 years here, or seen anyone be a vicitim of a crime, except my apartment in Lakeview was broken into while I was away for 2 months. They didn't actually take anything except the change in my drawer - so what a waste for them. I'd actually forgotten about that until I was reading this. I spent 3 years in Logan Square, 4 years in Lakeview and now 2 years in Uptown.
Come to think of it of the countless people I've met/am friend with in the city, the only person I ever talked to that had anything happen to them was my old roommate's coworker she taught with on the west side 7 years ago. She told me her house had been broken into once...but I haven't even heard from her in almost 7 years. You'd think having friends who all function as bar types and a very late crowd - at least one person would have come into contact with someone at some point. I guess we're very lucky.
I'm most surprised that all of my friends park their cars outdoors - and nothing has ever happened to any of them. Even my friend who's been parking his Jag in Lakeview on the streets for 5 years hasn't even had a touch.
