You know there are like 5 threads on this already. I mean seriously do a search. There are only like 30 bars within 3 blocks of that train stop. Go out on your own and check them out.
Welcome. Hope you have fun.

Personally, I think there's one that stands above all the rest in terms of solid places to watch a Cubs game in Wrigleyville. I can't remember the name of it. It's right at Clark and Addison. And Waveland. And Sheffield.
The beer's overpriced, but the picture quality is amazing. They even have a little karaoke moment in the seventh.
Downside? Cover charge.

Yeah, the cover charge is awfully steep. Not to mention it can be hard to get in since it's almost always at capacity.

That said, the basic advice is pretty valid: there are so many bars around Wrigley that you might as well just find your way to the Addison stop and walk around until you see a bar that appears to have the kind of atmosphere you're after.

Almost all of the Cubs-heavy bars are along Clark. That's where you'll find the cubbiest atmosphere. I will say, though, that occasionally, especially on weekdays, you can get tickets to the game for less than you'd think. I went to a Mets game on a half-price day. The guy who got the tickets paid something like 8 or 10 bucks a piece for the tix.

did you just buy them from somebody around Wrigley on the day of the game? I'm going to a Tuesday game against the Braves

The trick is to wait until after the first pitch. Wait until after the first inning and the brokers drop their price down to near face value or below. The brokers are next to the train station and across the street from it on Addison.
Avoid buying from guys walking down the street. The tickets can be fake.
Many times you can get day of game tickets at the window at the park. Check there first.

There are still single seat tickets left for that game. I dont know if you are going alone or in a group. Save some money and order from the box office or walk up to the box office and save the service charge.
