I see there is a "softball" league/club to join in Chicago through Chicago Sport and Social Club but are there anything for the amateur "baseball" leagues or just groups to join besides already knowing people that get together for weekend games or something? I am very interested in playing some baseball on weekends or something, I haven't played sense I was a kid and I miss it but haven't found anything. Any ideas on this? Thanks in advance.

Chicago Suburban
Chicago Suburban Baseball League

I haven't played baseball since a beer league I did the summer after high school. We lost each and every game by the 10-run rule, but we sure had fun.

Ill get with my cousin on this, he plays in a amateur baseball league out in Montgomery, IL, but they play teams from all over Chicagoland. They just played a team from Arlington Heights I believe it was.

Any info you guys can come up with is great. I am only interested in playing in a league or something in Chicago. I do not own a car, I am only 25, and I will not have that much time to play 6 games a week or 2 games a week sometimes, and for sure not out in the burbs. Will not work for me out there so something in the city is needed. Thanks in advance.

I was disappointed in this in Chicago not having baseball stuff... and not being over 28... I lived in the city and was was never able to find anything. Wasn't interested in going to the burbs as I didn't have a car... Plenty of softball though, but even most of that is the large ball.

A friend of mine from the old neighborhood plays in a beer league, I'm not sure how competitive those are.
