well its not that the bears CANT run the ball..its just that they DON'T...well not as much as they use to..i mean no where near as much! But they don't need to because its not apart of Mike Martz scheme...the objective is to get yardage regardless if its on ground or air and they did that

Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Out of the dozens of lifer Bears fans I've spoken to, it's unanimous that was a godawful call.

Yes, everyone gets bad calls, so you win some and you lose some. But that was beyond the pale - show me a video of a similar catch/call.

true to a good degree, but it's always hard to have a one-faceted offense. A good RB keeps the defense from effectively defending against the pass, and v.v. - in years past great RBs got murdered because our opponents knew we had no deep threat/QB who could go long.

I can def link about 4 clips (just off the top of my head) from home that are out there in which this same rule was applied (it happens several times every single year), they arent ever hard to find (I am at work right now, cant embed here). Its "unanimous" its a bad rule, if someone says its a bad call, they are misunderstanding a very basic and fundemental part of how officiating in the NFL works.

Still they cant give a big enough push to run the ball well, which is why Cutler through the ball from the 1.5 yard line. I think our recievers are immensly better then last year which is a big plus that we dont have to rely on the TE and RB to catch 5 yard balls.
Another reason Cutler threw the ball is because the Packers brought out a fresh line -- they put in their offensive line for the goal line stand. If the Pack had still had their D-line out there the Bears probably would have just run a sneak and be done with it. Against a fresh line that knows how to penetrate... throwing was the best option. And it should have been an easy 6.

The issue is the call, not the rule. The rule is hard, but the call depends on a ref's subjective judgment.

So make sure you're talking about which call is the "bad" one. The play was originally called a TD, because the play was judged to be over when he let go of the ball.

Another ref overruled the first one.

Either way, it's a done deal. But to get the original point, nobody should be feeling proud of the Bears being 3-0.

2. We played extremely well against the Cowboys, definitely.

3. The Packers penalties/mistakes really killed them.

Obviously, we are coming through in the clutch quite a bit, that alone is something to be encouraged about!

But, let's not get too carried away just yet - the O line is definitely a problem, and god help us should we see any injuries there or on the defensive front 4
The Lions did play better then us, but we still one the game.

The Packers had a lot of penalites, did you ever think that was because the Bears were making them commit the penalites? On the interference calls, if they wouldnt have done it the receiver would have probably caught the ball. The D line can rush and blitz so well the Packs O line kept on moving.

We dont have a great team, but if we can find a way to win thats all that matters. The O line is very much an issue, but after watching the 1st 6 quarters of the year they have greatly improved. The rush blocking hasnt improved imo. We have a great rush D, but as everyone can see 7-15 yard passes kill us.
