yeah - my comments on this team being a paper tiger as far as being "an unbeaten" were pretty accurate. loved the announcers trying to dance around that - "how the Bears are still undefeated seems to be a bit of a mystery watching this team tonight," oh, the humanity...

the offensive line is a joke, and although Peppers is an animal & the defense did well, you can't have your defense on the field that long before they eventually score on us. did we ever convert a third down? I was pretty glazed with disbelief by the end, my god I hope/trust/assume Cutler is fine, because that was just almost watchable.

You haven't been listening to me, because you're repeating yourself - my POV was expressed in numerous comments under that link - dude caught the ball, and we got lucky IMO.

rules change every year, so no matter involving rules & interpretations is ever put to rest "once and for all," it's fluid.

But anyhoo, I appreciate the folks who posted the text of the rule- I understand it just fine, I just disagree with it after watching it play out. you aren't going to change my mind, so we can agree to disagree, drover, but I'll drop it, I have nothing else to add.

I would love to hear some peoples thoughts on why we did so bad on offense... Were the receivers covered that well that Cutler couldnt get a pass off? Did the O line really do that bad? Was Cutler scared sh*tless that he couldnt keep his eyes up the field?
I thought the Defense did an awesome job. If the Offense drove the ball and actually held onto it for more then 3 plays it would have gave them time to rest. Think about how frustrating it must be for our D to consistently get 3 and outs and have the Offense do absolutley nothing. Eventually they will just break

Cutler had zero time to do anything...There were a couple of plays where he should have dumped a pass off because guys were wide open but I think after the 3rd, 4th, 5th sack he just got frazzled as any quarterback would and was more worried about getting creamed then passing. He didn't have a chance to do anything! That was the most embarrasing offensive line performance ever...The Giants just kept blitzing because they knew we couldn't stop them.

It was a combination of both. Cutler is not known as the most accurate QB, but it doesn't help that his protection was terrible last night. One of the earlier posters was right in that we should have been drafting O-line men the past few years.

Yeah, the commentators kept pointing out that with 4 guys blitzing you have to have other guys open, but Cutler had fractions of a second on a lot of those plays, just not enough time.

And I think frazzled is a good description to explain why on those rare occasions he did have a bit of time he couldn't get anything to happen.

and what is up with our running game, btw?

Or so one would have thought. At this point you can take up your disagreement with the competition committee.

which I think we have all determined you are not a member of. what part of "this isn't about you" do you not get?

at the very least you could temper your last-wordism with some comment about the game, since you fancy yourself some sort of football oracle.

So what are you arguing about now?

So I'm not a member of the committee. Fine. Like I said, your disagreement up with them.

I don't think Cutler knows where he is right now.
